International Film Festival calls for entries

FEST – International Film Festival Portugal that will take place 21st until 28th of June calls for entries. The submission deadline will be 20th of April 2009. The opening of the entries for the official competitive section in the festival, aimed for directors up to 30 years of age, marks an open invitation to submit works. FEST – International Youth Film Festival, is now one of the most important cultural events in Portugal, with all year TV coverage. FEST – Training Ground, which is a parallel activity of the festival, has previously received participants from all over the world and is set to guarantee a very good environment and conditions for the upcoming festival for all people interested in following the event.

The credibility of this event is closely associated with the high quality of participators and the efforts made by organizing members, creating an opportunity for new directors to show their works. There is already an ongoing cooperation with film schools’ new directors and production companies.

The categories of competition are:

A – Fiction
B – Documentary
C – Experimental
D – Animation
E – Music Videoclip

And alternatively: Silver Castle Competition for featured films from directors on its first or second work.
